The body is truly amazing – we can do many things such as play the piano š¹, go skateboarding š¹, rest š“ and heal š„, and it can do much more! But what does the Bible say about death and resurrection of a person? What does Christās resurrection mean to you?
The Apostle Paul wrote about another issue that plagued the Corinthian church – there were those who did not believe in the resurrection of the dead (1 Cor 15). Because of this, Paul wrote about the importance of resurrection and its relation to Christās resurrection.
Godās intention with resurrection is to make our bodies good again (perfect in Godās eyes) because God made our bodies good back during the Genesis days. Not only that, it also symbolizes overcoming death! If we realize and believe in Christās resurrection, the things we do (like praying, going to church, reading the Bible, having fellowship with one another) become meaningful. Otherwise, it all becomes meaningless.
But what does resurrection mean to us? It is a spiritual death that needs to take place, where we ought to die to the self daily. This means we must sacrifice our old way of living into living a life that lives for God and builds people up.
