👶 Grow Up! (1 Corinthians 3)

What does it mean to grow up in your life?

Paul opens 1 Cor 3 by calling the Corinth church infants 👶 What are infants like? Infants are vulnerable, cannot speak, can only cry for food 🍼 or for their diapers to be changed 🧷 They are unable to take care of themselves, need to rely on someone else for help, and cannot differentiate between things that are good and bad.

When we begin our life in Christ through baptism, we may still act in accordance to the flesh because we have yet to grow up to resonate with God’s spirit. Physically, we may be all grown up, but spiritually we are infants.

Are we willing to grow up and be transformed by God? Part of growing up is learning to be together, as is needed to form the building of God that Paul describes us as 🏛️ May we look up to God to work our lives that we may fit together and grow up, and not stay as infants!
