What are you devoted to right now in your life?
In 1 Cor 7, Paul highlights that those in the church should have this undistracted devotion to the Lord, whether it be together as a married couple or as an unmarried individual. That is to say that they should have their interests and mindset aligned with God’s!
So how can we apply this to our lives? Of course we are all placed in different situations. But what is our response to God like in these situations, be it in a relationship or single? Continuing from last week, we saw that as Christians we ought to be of one body and one spirit with Christ, glorifying God with who we are. Our job is to grow the kingdom of God and not be controlled and fixated on our daily needs (though at the same time not neglecting them completely). We must come before God and commit our troubles and needs into His hands, for God knows our troubles and needs. 🙏
We are placed in many different situations but we should ask God to help us identify what distractions are in our life so that we can ask Him to help us deal with it so we can have this undistracted devotion to Him! 🙌
