Have you ever been wrongfully accused of something that you didn’t do?! 👉😧
Last week we covered Mark 15:1-21, in which Jesus was arrested and placed in that very same predicament. Interestingly, he only said one thing and that was to agree with what Pilate said, and other than that he chose silence. How many of us in those circumstances could choose to stay silent despite being wronged, and even more than that to freely go along with the verdict that was going to be inflicted on us.
Another noteworthy point is how Pilate, even though he knew that Jesus was not guilty, and though he tried to be fair and used every way in his head to free Jesus, he was in the end swayed by the people and sentenced Jesus to death. Are we also easily swayed by the people around us because we are afraid of how they would see us and judge us?
In the end we need to decide, am I really doing things God’s way and making Jesus King, or am I just going off my emotions and doing what is comfortable to me?
What matters most is you shouldn’t please anyone but God! 💪
