šŸ›” God’s Covenant with Abram (GenesisĀ 15)

Hope your final exams are going well! šŸ˜šŸ’Ŗ

After Abram defeated the kings, the word of God came to him in a vision and reassured him, ā€œDo not fear, I am a shield to you.ā€ (Genesis 15)Ā

We fear many things. We fear getting hurt, losing out, or perhaps at the moment, failing exams 😱 God promises that if we are a person who walks uprightly with integrity and trusts Him, to us He will be our protector and security. Abram was such a person. He held on to God’s principles and rejected the King of Sodom even if that meant that he may have more enemies.

Abram trusted God when he was promised a child of his own. With such whole-hearted trust in God, he was blessed and credited as a righteous man before God.

May we all aspire to be like Abram, walking uprightly with integrity, and trusting fully in God that He will be a shield to the righteous.
