❤️ Covenant of Circumcision (Genesis 17)

What does it mean to be circumcised in the heart?

In Genesis 17, God further establishes His covenant with Abraham (Abram, given a new name that means “father of all nations”) by telling him to walk before Him and to be blameless. God also gives an instruction to Abraham that him and all the males in his household are to be circumcised.

Seeing Abraham’s close relationship with God, can we say the same about ourselves? For us to be sensitive to God, we must remove the distractions, desires, and all things in our lives that come between us and God—a circumcision of the heart.

May we learn to be circumcised in the heart each day, walking before God and being blameless, just like Abraham!

…and that’s a wrap for the 2024 winter semester!
