“It is not good for the man to be alone.”
God did not design us to be alone. When God created the first human being in the garden of Eden, he saw that it was not good for the man to be alone. And so he created another to help the man. Woman. This was the passage we looked at last week (Genesis 2:15-25).
What does this then mean for us? Time to get married? 😮
Hahaha, not necessarily. While the lesson we learnt in this passage would certainly be helpful for us in navigating the decision to find a life partner, this lesson extends far beyond that of marriage.
How do we care for our companions? How do we bring out the best in the people around us? How do we guard the hearts of those who are entrusted to us? How do we help one another in following God’s instructions? Being a good helper is not easy, as we will see…
