🐍 Temptation (Genesis 3:1-7)

In the Garden of Eden, the serpent tempted the woman by twisting the word of God (Genesis 3:1-7). The serpent quoted God’s word in a way that questioned God’s true intention and encouraged the woman to act according to what was good in her own sight rather than God’s. It did not help that the woman was in a compromised situation, what with her being by herself with the tree and her understanding of God’s word hazy.

Do you often find yourself in such a situation? Wondering if what God wants you to do is truly good for you? Wondering if doing certain things would really bring about the evil consequences that God warns you about? Or perhaps you aren’t even sure about what God’s word is?
