Congrats on finishing all the classes! Hang on tight, almost there! I pray God grants everyone the sufficient energy and focus needed for the exams!
Last week we looked at what happened after Adam and Eve ate the fruit that God commanded them not to eat (Genesis 3:8-21). In particular, we examined what are the consequences of sin.
We see that their first reaction is to hide themselves from God because they knew they did wrong. They separated themselves from God. This is exactly the enemy’s aim, trying to separate us from God. When we sin, the natural tendency is to try to stay away from God. But the wisest thing to do is not running away from God, but running towards God and to ask for forgiveness because no one can really hide from God.
Another effect of sin is that sin causes damage to God’s creation and to other people. We see that because Adam and Eve sinned against God, the ground is cursed because of it and their descendants also suffer. Thus, when a person sins, it is not only affecting that person alone but also causes damages to others. That’s why it is all the more important that we always come before God and make right with Him.
