What is evil to you? For some, evil is committing crimes. For others, evil can be when you are on a diet, and someone passes you a cake. Each one’s standard of evil can be very different, but what really matters is what God sees as evil.
During last week’s Bible study, the wickedness of man had become so great on the earth to a point that every intent of the thoughts of man’s heart was only evil all the time (Genesis 6:1-13). God’s heart was deeply grieved and hurt by it. Meanwhile, the people still lived the way they were because they did not see that what they were doing was evil.
We see that how God views things and how man views things are so different. Thus, we really need to change the way we see so that we will not fall into the same situation. We can only do that by focusing and drawing near to God, making every effort to take away all that distracts us from God, so that we can understand more of God’s heart and His values.
