🌱 A New Beginning (Genesis 8)

Are you usually the type to be patient or do you often jump the gun?

Noah and his family—wife, three sons, and their wives—endured the flood and remained in the ark throughout the period of the flood (Genesis 8). It was over a year before they finally exited the ark. Noah did not leave the ark according to his own terms though; he waited for God’s instructions before he, and everyone else, disembarked the ark.

Connecting this to our own lives, how often do we fail to be patient and instead jump the gun in making decisions? Sure, sometimes it may work out. But often it does not. Thankfully, Noah did rely on God for making decisions, and in the end, we see how mankind has new beginning, in which God reiterates his covenant with mankind through Noah to be fruitful and multiply.

May we take a page out of Noah’s life, always waiting patiently for God and His instruction, so that we can also be fruitful in all that we do and to build up God’s kingdom here on earth!
