👫 Marriage (Mark 10:1-16)

Are you in a relationship? 💑😏

Maybe it’s too early 😂, but what are your thoughts on marriage? Is getting married something important for a relationship? What is marriage? 🤔

Jesus was asked a question about marriage, in particular about whether it was okay for a marriage to be ended (Mark 10:1-16). Jesus used this opportunity to address the heart of the matter. What is God’s intention for marriage?

Marriage is a beautiful thing, when two people who are different individuals are united together, joined by their love for one another. Marriage is a promise to never give up on the relationship, but to support and care for one another no matter how difficult it may be. Marriage brings suffering and challenges, but through overcoming these together, new life comes about. 🐣

But more importantly, marriage is picture of God’s intention for His relationship with us. God desires that we may be united with Him, through a promise to stay together and a love for one another regardless of what challenges may come. And through this relationship, God’s abundant life and love may be spread throughout the world. ❤

Faithfulness is key in such a relationship. Marriage is a promise. Do we see the value of such a relationship?
