Logos Fellowship

🦙 Entering Jerusalem (Mark 11:1-14)

Here is your recap of the last episode of Logos Fellowship 📖

Two weeks ago, we saw Jesus going into Jerusalem on a donkey as people were laying down their cloaks and palm tree leaves for him (Mark 11:1-14). This is an expression of the people recognizing Jesus as King. Most of the time we expect the king to be something grand, but Jesus throws a curveball and shows us that we are not really looking for the king in the way God wants us to.

We also looked at the fig tree that had leaves growing out but didn’t produce any fruit, which Jesus cursed when he saw it. For fig trees, if there are leaves there should be fruit, even if it is not the season for fruits. Similarly in our lives, we might show signs of being fruitful, such as doing a lot of religious activity, but we aren’t actually producing any fruits, such as love, peace, joy, self-control, patience, nor we are not refreshing to be around. This would be very disappointing and discouraging to happen.

Let us submit to God’s will and how He sees things. Not just looking for Him to solve all our problems so we can do nothing, but to do what God wants us to do, and at the same time be really fruitful in God’s teachings.

Together we will be making God’s kingdom.
