In Mark 14:12-21, Jesus tells the disciples to go out and find a specific person in the middle of town. Have you ever received instructions like what the disciples did? Would you have been able to trust in that person you meet based on Jesus’s instructions?
What often makes it difficult for us to trust God’s instructions? We often overthink things, questioning things, such what if the person isn’t there, or what if there is more than one person with a jar of water, or what if we got the wrong person. When we overthink the situation and not trust the instructions that are given to us, we miss out on the miracle, we would miss out on witnessing what God can do.
God prepares things for us, even though we may not see that in the moment. Often we just have to accept and trust in Him, following the directions and instructions that He’s given to us.
I hope we can grow our trust in God as we build a relationship with Him.
