💀 Danger of Double-Mindedness (Mark 6:14-32)

Life is full of dilemmas, isn’t it? For example, maybe you want to attend Bible study this Friday, but suddenly your friend asks you out for dinner! 😳 How do you handle this? 🥴

In last week’s Bible study, King Herod faced a dilemma where on one hand he enjoyed listening to the word of God through John the Baptist, but on the other hand, he enjoyed worldly pride and honor, such that it led him to killing John the Baptist (Mark 6:14-32).

We may love God and want to put Him first in our lives, but when we are not careful and make up our mind, other things can easily take priority. These could be our relationships, career, achievement, or family. These are not bad things in and of themselves, but when we make them more important than God, they can become our weakness.

May God help us to be more aware of our weaknesses so that we can be on the alert and stay focused on Him. For whoever that is double-minded is like a wave of the sea, tossed by the wind. Such a person will be unstable in all his ways and end up neither here nor there. 🌊
