What do you think God is like? Do you see God as someone who is fair and just? Or do you consider God to be harsh and cruel?
Our concept of God will determine what our relationship with Him is like. It also will determine what we do with what He has given us. Just like in the parable of The Ten Minas (Luke 19:11-27), which we looked at last week, some people respond to God by multiplying what he has given to them, while others wrap it away and neglect it.
One of the things that God has given to us is our life. What do we do with our life? Do we see its value and seek to bring out its full potential as God intended for it, through hard work and perseverance? Or do we despise what we have received, seeing the pain and suffering associated with life as meaningless and cruel?
What we do with the life that God has given us is closely related to how we see God. Let us strive to come to know what God is truly like.
