🛌 Day of Rest (Genesis 2:1-3)

Have you been getting enough rest??

Rest is important! Physically, we were made to rest. We spend a third of our life sleeping, and if we try to cut that out, we’d eventually die. So important is rest, in fact, that God set us an example by resting on the seventh day from all the work that he had done in creating the universe (Genesis 2:1-3). But what does rest mean for us, spiritually speaking?

To rest means to come into God’s presence, to cease from our futile work, and to remember what matters most in life. To rest means to stop doing our own thing, and to instead seek what pleases God. Only then will our soul be refreshed.

So, if you haven’t already, go get some rest! 😁💪
